Mary "Angela" Coleman has worked in higher education since 2006. Since 2013, she has served as the associate vice president for institutional effectiveness at the University of South Alabama leading the University's accreditation, planning, and assessment activities. She also worked seven years with the University System of Georgia and the University of West Georgia College of Education as a faculty member, associate dean, and assistant vice chancellor for educator preparation and policy. Her degrees include a BA in English from James Madison University, an MA in Creative Writing from Temple University, and a PhD in Educational Research and Evaluation from Virginia Commonwealth University. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Angela has been a teacher, non-profit administrator, and higher education administrator. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and values the opportunity to apply her talents, experiences, and interests in service to the community.
